Wilson Yip

Wilson Yip graduated with a BSc in Biomedical Sciences and MHSc specialising in Nutrition at The University of Auckland. His master research has focused on the ways to reduce energy intake in overweight women and has published in Appetite, a leading international peer-reviewed journal. He continued to stay in HNU after his master degree and worked as project manager in many studies at HNU including kiwifruit constipation study and grape seed extract satiety study. Wilson led and completed a Fonterra-PGP project on body composition research involving 400 participants in 2013 and 2014. He is also part of the international PREVIEW diabetes prevention trial in 2014 and 2015 working with Marta and her team. Wilson is involved as the lead researcher in the final project of the Food for Appetite Control program collaborating with Plant&Food Research on the colonic brake boysenberry study in 2015 and 2016. In 2016, Wilson will further his study as a PhD student at the HNU focusing on metabolic health for the High Value Nutrition (HVN) program part of the $84million funded by National Science Challenge.
